KING CHARLES ANNOUNCES 2016 UK TOUR AND NEW VIDEO ‘GAMBLE FOR A ROSE’

NEW ALBUM ‘GAMBLE FOR A ROSE’ RELEASED 22ND JANUARY 2016
King Charles has announced a string of UK dates for February next year to follow the release of new album ‘Gamble For A Rose’, out on 22nd January through Buffalo Gang via Kobalt Label Services. The tour will start at Academy 2 in Manchester on 11th February, finishing at London’s Oval Space on the 18th February.
King Charles has premiered the video for new single ‘Gamble For A Rose'; a beautifully shot love story reflecting the escapist theme of the album and showing off this significant move in musical direction.

Charles commented "I wrote this one at uni about a girl called Rose. I wrote it on beer coasters in a bar, it just came out. I cherish these songs because there’s nothing to pollute the process. It was the only song i wrote in the whole year I was at that college."
This year Charles took on his biggest tour to date, a 28 nights in 28 days extravaganza that would have broken a lesser individual, but ended in triumph as he headlined the London Forum. Emboldened, one of the first things he said to his friend Marcus Mumford was “I want to make the album I should have made five years ago.”
Charles and Marcus began demoing songs, declaring the whole idea of the project to be “music to my ears”, Marcus said he would produce it and they decamped to a farm near Exeter to begin working up the songs, with mattresses pushed up against the walls to make vocal booths and old friends to jam with including Charlie Fink and Tom Hobden (Noah and the Whale) and Winston Marshall (Mumford & Sons).
