Original tickets remain valid. + Lights American electronica musical project Owl City is led by frontman Adam Young, who refers to his band and himself combined as Owl City. Young’s influences include disco and European electronic music, 1980’s synthpop, j-pop and new wave music. After the independent release of two albums Of June (207) and Maybe I’m Dreaming (2008), Owl City gained mainstream popularity from his 2009 major label debut album Ocean Eyes, which spawned the hit single ‘Fireflies’. Throughout Ocean Eyes, Young sets his breathy croon over gentle laptop beats and sings tales of romance, the joy of spying fireflies and nervous encounters with the dentist. |
