Danish pop band Alphabeat hail from Silkeborg and are signed to Copenhagen Records in Denmark. They have had a massive amount of success in their native homeland.

Their sound is mainly retro eighties melodic pop, taking inspiration amongst others from Deacon Blue and Prefab Sprout, with a distinctive overlay of male and female harmonies.

Their Danish debut single ‘Fascination’ was a major hit in Denmark during the summer of 2007 and their debut album went platinum also in Denmark.

Alphabeat’s success in their native country led to the band receiving a lot of attention from a variety of record labels. After much decision, Alphabeat signed to EMI for distribution in the UK.

The British release of ‘Fascination’ peaked at number five in the charts. Their debut British album was released on the 2nd June this year and is crammed with fun, danceable, happy-clappy catchy craziness!
