Mixing punk, post hardcore and a dash or two of pure goth, Aiden take the best bits of the likes of A.F.I and Him to produce a lethal cocktail of energetic and influential horror rock.
The last few years have seen them broaden their musical style that has moved them from obscurity to sell out shows worldwide.
Signed to Victory Records in 2004, Aiden hail from Seattle, Washington and formed in 2003. They are named after the little boy in the movie, The Ring. They released their debut album ‘Our Gangs Dark Oath’ when two of the band’s members were still in school, followed shortly by their second album ‘Nightmare Anatomy’ in October 2005.
Rain in Hell (EP/DVD) was released in October 2005 and although it didn’t receive rave reviews it began to outline the real Aiden, illustrating their broadening style and musical growth as a band.
Their third and most recent album ‘Convictions’ was released in August 2007. The album marks a complete change of style, showcasing well-crafted punky pop tracks weaved with goth tinged melodrama.
They have shared the stage with many other artists including Taking Back Sunday, The Used, 30 Seconds to Mars, Senses Fail and Him.
Aiden will be performing live at Manchester Academy 3 on Wednesday 1st October. |
